Meet our new team members

Melissa Frederick

Melissa Frederick is the new Assistant Vice President of HR for UK HealthCare. This is a new position to ensure we deliver customer-focused, strategic HR services throughout the UK HealthCare system. The HR Business Partner, UK HealthCare Enterprise Learning and Workforce Scheduling teams will report to Melissa. She joins us from the University of Virginia, where she has served in various HR roles since 2005. Most recently she served as Assistant Vice President for UVA Health System Human Resources.

Kierstyn McKinney

Kierstyn McKinney is an Employment Specialist with the STEPS office. Kierstyn previously worked as a Staff Support Associate II at the front desk before joining the HR Business Partner team as a Staffing Specialist. In both roles Kierstyn has demonstrated the ability to support her customers as well as problem solve. Kierstyn earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Business Management from UK.

Stefan Schagane

Stefan Schagane is an Employment Consultant in Career Employment. Stefan returns to UK after working in HR for Four Roses Distillery. Stefan has more than six years of experience within UK HR, working in Benefits and as an HR Staffing Specialist. Stefan has a bachelor’s degree from UK in Communications and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Organizational Development from the University of Louisville.
